Hidden Surprise Bottle, Chocolates, or Pizza

nstanford on March 5th, 2009

Write a love note put it in a Bottle and hide it somewhere you know your spouse will find it.  You can put it in a box of chocolates by opening it and then resealing it with the letter inside.  You could order pizza and have them cut it in the shape of a heart then if you go pick it up you can slip in the love note.  You might want to have it in a plastic bag so the note is readable once they get it.

Romantic Secret Messages

If your spouse reads then find a page in their book that they have not yet read and take a pencil and underline letters that when written out spell out a message of love to them.  If you leave before your spouse in the morning then go in the bathroom and use a bar of soap to write a love message on the mirror.  Find ways to give them a message of love any way you can using a secret code only you and they know about.

Romantic Surprise

Search the web for a poem and/or romantic saying. Hand write or use a computer to print it using a special font.  Put the message in a bottle and leave it where she can find it.  Either put it in her bed when you get up to go to work or anywhere else she can find it when you are not around.

Romantic Protector

Tell your spouse you are worried about them and that you want to get them a body guard.  Give them a Lovable Huggable Stuffed Animal.  Add a note with a romantic poem.  If you did not write the poem, then put who wrote it but say you are dedicating it to you spouse.  You could even include some candy.  Do this on a some day they least expect it.

Time is Relative

nstanford on December 29th, 2008

Time is Relative
A Second touching a hot stove feels like forever,
An hour seems like a second holding your hand,

A Minute at the dentist is like torture,
Yet a Minute without you I can not stand,

An Hour waiting in a line is so boring,
With you by my side it seems so tame,

A Day out in the cold is so severe,
Snuggled up to you does not seem the same,

A Week without you near me,
Each day counted until your return,

A Month of marriage with you,
Fills my heart with gladness and a glow that does burn,

A Year of looking back at our life,
Makes me happy we are together,

A Lifetime of love and friendship between us,
We can survive any weather.

Romantic dates with your mate

nstanford on December 23rd, 2008

Just because you are married does not mean you can not go out on a date and have a good time.  Take these ideas and run with them.

12 Ideas

  1. Go out for a truly special dessert.
  2. Go to a field and pick wildflowers together.
  3. Pack a picnic lunch and go to the park or the zoo without the kids.
  4. Take a class together in something fun and creative: glass blowing, pottery, drawing, creative writing, or photography. Read the rest of this entry »

Romantic Invitation

nstanford on December 19th, 2008

If you are going to ask someone to a date, a banquet, or prom then go to a Build-a-Bear store and build a bear for them put a recording of you saying that you would love to have the honor of taking them to the banquet or prom.  Say whatever sounds really good.  Then have someone else deliver it to her.  If possible make sure there will be people around to hear what it says. If you do not have a Build-a-Bear Store near you then add a hand written note instead and maybe even have someone read it to them when they give them the bear.

Romantic Location Surprise

nstanford on December 18th, 2008

Pick your partner up for a date and blindfold her before driving to a special destination. Try to make the destination something really unexpected like a table set up at the top of a cliff or a dinner on a boat or old-fashioned ship.  You want the location to be dramatic.  Maybe even a museum or a play anything she would not expect but would love.  It needs to be something that will have an impact when she removes the blindfold.

Romantic Balloon Surprise

nstanford on December 18th, 2008

Fill the trunk of your car with helium balloons.  Drive to a romantic spot in the
country to go for a walk. The ideal spot is somewhere up high with a clear
view of the surrounding countryside.

Get out of the car and act as though you are about to set off for your walk.
Make sure your partner is closer to the car than you and then throw her the
keys and ask if she can get your jacket from the trunk while you tie your
shoelace.

When she opens the boot the balloons will be released.  You can also place a
sign saying, “I Love You” on the inside of the trunk so that it will be revealed
when the trunk opens.
