Matthew 7
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: 29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

I hear time and time again from different people “Judge not”.  Some people like to use this verse to cover up their sin.  They tell the Christian and pastor to Judge not or don’t tell me what to do.

The bible also says in the same chapter says: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” And “16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

So I will explain my reasoning of this whole issue.  If I was sick with a fever of 102 degrees and yet I came to church and I sit on the pew like a bump on a log and you were thinking why doesn’t he worship and clap his hands?  Why does he just sit there? This is Judging and this is what the scripture says to not judge someone unless we realize we will be judged the same way.

It also says there are false prophets and they will come in sheep’s clothing. We need to remember that if I see you kill someone or commit any other sin that I am not judging you to say you have sinned. In Luke it says to wipe the dust off your feet if you are not received is this not a judgment call that has to be made?  So we know that God is okay with us using our judgment.

Luke
10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, 11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. 12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city

As an old saying goes unless you walk in the shoes of someone else then you should not judge him.  This is not a biblical statement.  If we think this out then we should not judge Hitler and other such people.  Do I know if Hitler was saved at his death?  No, I have do not clue as I was not around to see if he repented however I can say while he was killing the Jews he was not a Christian and bound for Hell.  That is a judgment call I fill very comfortable making.
On the other hand if you see some people talking across the room and you think they are talking about you this is a Judgment that you should not be doing.  If someone sees you somewhere they think you should not be this is a time they should not judge.  However, if you are going into a nudist colony we can judge that because those actions are a fruit that is easy to see.  You could say I was going there to witness to them.
However in Romans it says “Let not then your good be evil spoken of:”  so remember if you are being judged wrongly telling people to stop judging will not fix the issue maybe you need to think about what you are doing and see if your good is something that can be evil spoken of.

Romans
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way. 14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. 15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. 16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of: 17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

We must remember we are the only hands of God, only feet of God, only mouth of God, only face of God, some people will see.  When we are seen at a restaurant they will not say they don’t tip or they leave trash on their table or they are so messy and noisy.  They will say those people of God that go to that church are not tippers, or leave trash or are the messy and noisy bunch.  We need to be the Christians that they are looking for us to be.
Remember just like when you think about your kids watching you, there are eyes watching you constantly and you will be judged here on earth if not by family for sure by the sinners that see you every day.

Say something nice to someone today, this might be your last chance too.
